Single-Use CPGs

 

Our customers produce great products by the case, but end customers do not purchase a case at a time. We repack consumer tissue products and other single-use CPGs, such as cups and lids, into smaller formats that retail customers purchase.

 

Single-use CPGs can include pockets packs of facial tissue for retail, cups and lids for hospitality applications, and many other items.

Medical Products

 

As a contract manufacturer of displosable dental bibs, medical exam table paper, and wipers, we have the designated clean spaces and the appropriate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to produce safe, sanitary items for distributors of medical products.

We are AIB certified as a result of our Good Manufacturing Practices. We are also FDA Class 1 and 2 Medical Device Approved, and registered as a Cosmetic Site with the FDA.

Our customers, which are some of the largest producers of CPGs (Consumer Packaged Goods) in the world, are really good at producing great brands in mass; we help them produce customized packages, difficult-to-produce CPGs, and consumer tissue products in order to meet the needs of their retailers and consumers. We're able to run overflow volume that our customers can't handle in order to help our customers capitalize on additional revenue - and we are quick, because we know that well-stocked retail shelves are in everyone's best interest.

SAFETY FIRST

Marvin Schumacher, Founder of Services Plus, Inc.

Marvin Schumacher founded Services Plus in 1984, after he retired from a successful career as the President and founding member of Warehouse Specialists, Inc. During his retirement he planned to golf and fish but soon realized, “Golf is dumb, and I can buy fish.” So, Marvin came out of retirement to start Services Plus, Inc. and was soon joined by his son Mike.

 

Marvin was an entrepreneur in every sense of the word and he had his children - especially his two oldest sons, Mike and Tom - involved in several companies growing up. In grade school, Mike and Tom helped Marvin operate Marv’s Beer and Liquor Depot out of their two-stall garage. Then, when Mike and Tom were in high school, Marvin bought a sweeping compound company which he gave to the boys to run at minimum wage. Instead of buying sawdust by the bag, Marvin purchased it by the railcar, which Mike and Tom had to manually unload. Mike and Tom learned to run the business, doing everything from taking orders, making the product, writing the shipping papers, dealing with truckers, and bookkeeping. Marvin loved business, especially startups. In the mid-1990’s when Services Plus was no longer risky enough (too stable) for Marvin, he chose to get out and Mike and Tom bought Marvin’s shares in Services Plus, Inc.

 

Mike and Tom successfully grew Services Plus over their nearly 20 years of ownership. They focused on continuing Marvin’s entrepreneurship, while starting to work for the largest Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies in the world. They continued to add business beyond packaging services, including warehousing and distribution. They also added the first two contract manufacturing lines. In looking towards business succession, Mike and Tom hired current President, Tad Campana, in 2011. As the third leader of Services Plus, Tad continues as President today. Mike and Tom transitioned their ownership of Services Plus to Tad between 2018 and 2020, with Tom remaining on the Board of Directors. 

 

Today, Services Plus, Inc. is a contract manufacturer for the consumer tissue and medical paper markets. We also continue to package consumer products. Our customers are some of the largest CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) companies and distributors in the world. Our vision is to become The Preferred Choice for Contract Manufacturing of Consumer Tissue.  Services Plus continues to invest in new converting lines and process improvements and has seen dramatic growth over the past few years. 

 

Throughout the years, we’ve remained rooted in Marvin’s entrepreneurial spirit, and continue to do whatever we can to please our customers and grow our people.

I joined Services Plus in 2002 as a Material Handler. I worked in several roles over the years, and I'm now the Buyer for Services Plus, Inc. In this role, I select suppliers, negotiate terms and prices, and ensure that the items we purchase meets our needs and standards. 

I am married with four wonderful children. We enjoy campfires and cookouts with friends and family, and love spending time with family at Green Bay Packer games at Lambeau Field every year. I also like to get a round of golf every now and again.

I oversee the day-to-day activities of the Human Resources Department, administer employee benefit plans, help drive employee engagement, and ensure our compliance with all employment laws. I enjoy the fast-paced work environment at Services Plus and the ability to connect with an experienced leadership team to find better ways to accomplish goals.

 

I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and I have over 25 years of diverse Human Resources experience. Outside of work, I'm a dog mom who enjoys watching all the Wisconsin sports teams play.

I'm responsible for leading the Quality Department personnel and the Quality System efforts at Services Plus, Inc.

I like the people who work at Services Plus. I enjoy that anyone can have input on any part of the company. No one is limited to a small box.

My formal education is in Statistics, Computer Science, Philosophy and Theology. My “work” coursework is in QA topics (problem solving, auditing, statistical process control, design of experiments, etc). I started out in the Quality area for 11 years, moved to IT for 23 years and am now back in Quality. I like reading, reflecting, walking, making things from wood, and motorcycling.

Tad Campana
President

I’ve got the best job in the world! In my role, I get to work with a team of the hardest-working and most unentitled people you will ever meet. I’ve worked for Services Plus since 2011 – I came to lead the Operation, and have been President and a shareholder since 2015. I’m responsible for the overall leadership of Services Plus, and generally spend my time with our employees, our customers, and developing our company strategy. 

Besides work, I enjoy spending time with my family: my wife and three twenty-something and teenage children. When time permits, I enjoy running, golf, beekeeping, and bird hunting.

Joining Services Plus in 2014 was a big change for me. Having worked in the seminar, direct mail and fulfillment industries for over 20 years, I enjoyed helping clients become successful in a wide variety of projects from the simple to the complex. Services Plus builds on my work in client success by providing focus on contract manufacturing while maintaining
exceptional customer care. Client satisfaction drives my work. Developing relationships with clients is what I enjoy along with exceeding expectations.


On the side, I am happily married with four adult children, three grandsons and two grand-daughters. We enjoy time together at our cabin, listening to music, and kicking back watching the family learn and grow.

Outside of work, I love traveling and spending time with family and friends.

I began my journey at Services Plus in 1996 as the receptionist and have held many positions throughout the company over the years. My most recent position as Account Manager has given me the opportunity to expand my skill set on the sales side, while continuing to lead a team responsible for customer relationships.

 

People development, streamlining processes and collaboration are just a few of the items that fuel my passion on a daily basis. 

In 2019 I married my high school sweetheart and, between us, we have four children. Outside of work you will find me making memories with them as well as other family and friends.

As of March 2023, I joined Services Plus, Inc., as Controller. Being part of the team at Services Plus offers the advantage of forming genuine connections with teammates and steering clear of the complexities of corporate politics.

 

My academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting, and a CPA license, highlighting my commitment to proficiently managing the company's accounting functions.

I've been married for over 30 years and cherish my role of being a parent to two beautiful children and one daughter-in-law, and a loving grandparent to two delightful grand-pup, who I love spending time with.  I find joy in reading, biking, and cooking.

My passion for working here is developing a trust with our customers by understanding the needs they have for their product. The greatest reward is building partnerships with our customers and helping their businesses grow.


Outside of work, I have three wonderful children, 4 Golden Doodle grand-pups, and 2 awesome grandchildren. I enjoy cooking and spending time with family and friends.
